Hello!!
My name is Kewal Haria and I am a UX Designer, UX Researcher, Information Architect.
I have a twin brother (Kunal Haria) so the first lesson I learnt was sharing right after 5 minutes of my birth (we are 5 minutes apart).

Fig. That's me
Since childhood, I always wanted to become an Automobile designer. When I was younger, my brother and I used to stick newspaper cut outs of all the different car pictures in our dairies as a hobby.
BMW and Lamborghini have always been my favorite car companies.
I like BMW for their
• Basic and sporty exterior design (3 and 5 series models).
• The cars are packed with very modern and luxurious features like the key operated car parking (7 series model) and gesture controlled entertainment system.
Being a Taurus, I feel more connected with the Lamborghini and the reason I love it is
• The design of the cars is very loud and powerful just like a bull.
• The unique shape of the car tries to achieve maximum aerodynamics.
• The interior seems like a cockpit of a space shuttle with most of those buttons still being used from the past.
Fast forward to a Bachelor degree in India and a Masters from Pace University, I’m now making that childhood wish come true.

In the Spring of 2017 at Pace University, I took my first UX design class. While making a unique paper prototype for a class project which was appreciated by my professors then and even now. I realized my interest for prototyping and a thought of becoming a UX designer was born.

After a lot of thinking over the summer break and a whole month of exploring by traveling across different cities in the states, I discovered my passion for UX Design.
I took a series of UX classes, developing my skills to empathize with people for user research, user centric designs and prototyping. Now here I am interning at Owensboro Medical Practice designing the architecture of their upcoming website as a UX Designer.
Other interests:
• Traveling to explore
• Photography
• Love for Animals
• Passion for driving exotic and luxury cars
Meet ups:
UX and Interaction Design for Mixed Reality
Speaker: Pilar Aranda
I learnt how to use my UX skills to design storyboards and interactions that are supported in the spatial and real world environment.
As an activity, teams were formed and we came up with the idea to have a virtual concert in middle of the public space (Union Square, NYC).
To enter the concert, there was a virtual portal visible only through mixed reality glasses. By just walking through it the user would be sucked inside it into a live stage concert along with other people enjoying the virtual concert from all around the world.

We also designed the personas for the users and their likelihood of interaction with our app. Based on the personas we even designed a quick exit for the people who walk into the portal unknowingly.

Mobile App Design Contest 6.0/ Hackathon
Participated in a 6-hour hackathon to solve a problem of choice using design. Teams were formed at the beginning of the hackathon. My team and I designed an app to solve the problem of restaurants having to manage multiple delivery/food service apps with the companies providing their own independent devices to the restaurants.

Our app Deliverable would collaborate all the delivery/ food service apps into one tablet app, utilizing the power of the tablet to run all the apps at once.
